We are excited to release yet another chat integration, this time with Microsoft Teams. This new integration will enable Mopinion users to automatically push specific feedback items to channels in Microsoft Teams, allowing for easy feedback distribution and improved collaboration.
Microsoft Teams is a unified communication and collaboration platform that combines persistent workplace chat, video meetings, file storage, and application integration. And now, thanks to Mopinion’s webhook feature, Mopinion users can quickly and easily integrate their feedback with their channels on this platform.
Benefits of the new Microsoft Teams integration
This new integration with Microsoft Teams caters to the many organisations that leverage chat tools as logging and internal communications systems. Using different channels on Microsoft Teams, these organisations can easily share and create system alerts for incoming feedback items all based on certain conditions if they should choose. For example, feedback items about website bugs can be forwarded to a channel for which the organisation’s teams/departments (i.e. web development) can subscribe.
How to integrate Microsoft Teams using webhooks
With Microsoft Teams, the same configuration options – such as other tools in our webhook system – are available. These configuration options are based on set conditions, meaning you can push certain feedback items depending on your settings directly to Microsoft Teams.
Step 1: Go to Microsoft Teams and search in apps for the webhook
Step 2: Add the webhook to a team
Step 3: Search for the channel where you want to receive the webhook
Step 4: Give your webhook a name
Step 5: Copy this link and go to your Mopinion dashboard
Step 6: Fill in your form settings
Go to Integrations > Webhooks. Here you will be prompted to fill in a form with all of your settings. You can start by selecting a type of webhook and choosing your API endpoint (most of the time this will be the URL where the feedback data will be sent to).
Then you can select which data you’d like to send. The parameters are the feedback fields you want to post, for example, if you only want to send the score and the feedback comment. The default for this function is all parameters (all feedback fields), unless you want to specify parameters to only send certain fields (for example, only the ‘open comments’ or ‘scores’.
Lastly you’ll need to select when your webhook should be sent. You can do this by selecting a condition, i.e. when the visitor submits a 1 or 2 as their answer to the question ‘How would you rate this page?’ in your feedback survey. And then finally, give your webhook a name (this time for the Mopinion interface).
Here’s how it will look in Microsoft Teams when the integration is implemented:
