Welcome to the February edition of Mopinion’s Employee in the Spotlight! This blog series gives you an inside look at who we are and how our employees contribute to our company culture. Last month we introduced Anna, our Content Marketer for the DACH region. This month – however – we sat down with one of our new(er) Customer Success Managers, Rudo de Graaf.
Meet Rudo. Rudo joined the Mopinion team late last year as one of our newest Customer Success Managers. In other words, he’s there to make sure our customers enjoy all the benefits Mopinion software has to offer. But when he’s off the clock, this bird-fearing, cheese loving colleague of ours spends a lot of his time cooking, drinking, eating, and travelling!

What does your position at Mopinion entail?
“My job is to ensure that all of our customers are satisfied with Mopinion, and advise them on how they can make the most of their feedback programs within our software.”
What initially drew you to Mopinion?
“I had my first call with Saskia (Head of Customer Success) and Luke (Head of Sales). From that moment onwards, I had a really good feeling about the people working at Mopinion, and the overall vibe within the company.”
What does a typical work day look like for you?
“That really depends on the day, as no day is the same. The majority of my time I spent on being in contact with customers. I have onboarding calls with new customers, catch up calls with existing customers and I am in email contact with them. Other than that, I try to think of ways to improve our internal processes continuously.”
What is your favorite part about working at Mopinion?
“I appreciate the freedom that is given to me to do things in the way I think is best. I also really like the fact that there is an open culture of sharing ideas and speaking up.”
What are the biggest challenges you face in your job?
“Time management can be tricky, since you cannot plan all contact moments you have with customers.”
What is your proudest moment at Mopinion?
“It makes me happy when I receive feedback that an onboarding call was successful, and that people are excited to get started with Mopinion!”

What do you like to do in your free time?
“I really enjoy cooking, drinking, eating, and travelling.”
What is your guilty pleasure?
“Sometimes I like to eat a sandwich with liver paté and chocolate sprinkles.”

Who inspires you?
“No one in particular, but I admire people like Nelson Mandela and Barack Obama.”
What is one thing you can’t live without?
“Cheese”
No surprise there. Seems to be the favourite of many Dutchies at Mopinion…
What is your favorite quote?
Don’t worry about a thing, cause every little thing is gonna be alright.

What is your biggest fear?
“Birds, definitely. I enjoy watching them fly at a (big) distance from me, but I get quite scared when they get close.”
Where do you see yourself in five years?
“Nowhere in particular. I will just see what happens. I like to think of all the things I would still like to do in my life, but I do not actually plan them or stick to a plan in getting there.”
What is something that not many people know about you?
“I really enjoy my morning routine during the week of getting up exactly the same time every day, shower for the same number of minutes, having exactly the same breakfast, walking the exact same round outside before work.”
